The City of Waverly strives to provide the highest quality of service to all its residents. We enable access to electricity, gas, water, sewer, and trash for all households in town.



Required deposit for utilities: $100.

Bill Pay

Utility bills are mailed on the first workday of each month.

If you do not receive a bill, please notify the city clerk by phone or the contact form below.

A drop box is located under the window in front of City Hall for after hours service. There is also an answering machine for messages.

Credit Card Fees – $.01-$50.00 = $1.00 fee, $50.01-$100.00 = $2.00 fee, $100.01-$150.00 = $3.00 fee, $150.01 and above – 2.65%. 

Debit Card Fee – all amounts 1.15% ($1.00 min)

***Fees are collected and paid to GovPayNet.  The city doesn’t receive any of these funds.***

Late Fees

A 10% late fee will be added to accounts not paid by the 15th of the month. If the 15th or 16th falls on a weekend day, late charges will be added on Monday. 

The city does exercise its right to terminate service due to unpaid utility bills. Good communication with the city clerk when a bill is late is always to the benefit of the customer.

Bulk Water

You can now purchase bulk water at the coin operated machine
on the South side of City Hall. Open 24/7. Machine takes quarters.
